It’s Not Just Our Houses That Get Messy
When most people think of clutter, they think of the clutter that you’ll find in the average household. The wardrobe that has disorganised drawers. The bedside table drawer that is a mess with various medicines, cables and goodness knows what else. The bathroom cabinet that has that bottle of Dettol that you swear you never bought, but has been in there for as long as you remember. And, of course, that one ‘junk drawer’ that seems like an endless repository of the most random items. However, there’s a different type of clutter, one that can get bogged down and prevent… continue reading >

Let These Kitties Survive and Thrive
Anyone who knows me will likely think that the answer to this question is ‘dog’. I’m that sort of person who will see a dog out for a walk and approach the owner to say how adorable it is, and whether or not I can get a pat. Most people are obliging and I get to give a good doggo some love – and sometimes, I even get puppy kisses! However, dogs aren’t my favourite animal. They’d be my top choice for a pet, if I was allowed to have one where I rent, but I wouldn’t say they’re my… continue reading >

Fighting Like Cats and Dogs
When I logged into WordPress and saw this prompt, my first reaction was to groan, for this is impossible to answer. I must admit, I’ve never actually had a dog or a cat, much to my dismay. I rather wish I did, especially these days – a companion dog to keep me company and give me those cute puppy eyes, or a cheeky little cat that’ll keep me on my toes – but sadly, living in rented houses and having allergies to some furs meant that it just wasn’t on the cards. Sure, I could get a poodle, or a… continue reading >

The Romance of Communication
Anyone who knows me knows that I am not one for romance. I don’t watch it, I don’t read it, and there’s very little of it in my personal life. In fact, I don’t really even think about it much at all. ‘ Everyone has a different idea of romance. To some, it’s all champagne and red roses, kissing in front of the Eiffel tower as fireworks go off in the background. For others, romance is synonymous with drama, with tragic stories and obstacles to overcome. Some years ago, I came across a interesting novel: You, by Caroline Kepnes. You… continue reading >

Let’s Smash It
I must admit, I was always quite a picky child. I was the type of child who never tried anything new, and if I went out to eat in a restaurant I’d only ever choose the safe option: chips. It meant I didn’t really experiment much until I became an adult. This isn’t an easy question to answer, for anyone. I’ve eaten many different types of meals over the years, tried many new things since entering adulthood. Trying to pick one “most delicious” food or meal is practically impossible. However, one particular thing stands out to me. When I went… continue reading >
